GENDER NIGHT – we have The Right to PROVOKE!
Antéros LGBTI Padova vi presenta il primissimo evento LGBTQI di Nadir!
Nella prima parte della serata – in collaborazione con Valide Alternative per l’integrazione – presenteremo il cortometraggio The Right To Provoke: racconta le pressioni e aggressioni subite da Andrea Giuliano in Ungheria a causa del suo pubblico impegno per la comunità lgbtqi; Andrea sarà nostro ospite, e insieme a lui discuteremo del suo attivismo a favore delle persone lgbtqi e dei migranti.
Nella seconda parte della serata, SI BALLA ! In un’epoca in cui lo spauracchio del “gender” causa diffidenza verso le persone lgbtqi, riesumando la vecchia tendenza a “non ostentare” noi stesse al resto del mondo, noi ci riprendiamo il diritto a “provocare”: con le nostre esistenze, con la nostra gioia! Sarà una primavera molto GENDER ! 😉 Fate festa con noi?

Antéros proudly presents the very first LGBTQI night at Nadir’s!
In the first half of the night – in cooperation with Valide Alterative per l’Integrazione – we will present THE RIGHT TO PROVOKE, an important short film about the intimidations and aggressions suffered by Andrea Giuliano as a result of his activism on behalf of lgbtqi people in Hungary. Andrea will be our guest and we’ll discuss his experience as an lgbtqi and migrants’ rights activist.
In the second half of the night WE WILL DANCE! In times of “gender idelogy”, a common straw man fallacy used in Italy against lgbtqi people, causing them to hide and avoid “advertising it”, we claim the right to provoke: with our own existence, with our happiness! This spring will be “gender style”! 😉 Are you ready to party with us?

About “The Right to Provoke” film:
Negli ultimi anni l’Ungheria è stata al centro di importanti questioni europee come la crescita dell’intolleranza verso le persone LGBTI, i migranti e i rifugiati. In questa serata organizata da Anteros LGBTI e Valide Alternative per l’Integrazione presenteremo il documentario “The Right To Provoke” di Mátyás Kálmán e Róbert Bordás della TASZ / HCLU (Hungarian Civil Liberties Union). Il documentario racconta la storia di Andrea Giuliano, attivista per i diritti umani, artista e fotografo diventato vittima di crimini di odio in Ungheria a causa del suo attivismo e per aver messo in scena una parodia indirizzata all’estrema destra e al bigottismo. Dopo la proiezione discuteremo insieme a Andrea Giuliano della situazione ungherese e della sua esperienza come attivista per i diritti dei migranti e delle persone lgbti.
In recent years Hungary has been the center of attention regarding human rights issues due to its government’s increase of intolerance towards LGBTI people, migrants and refugees. The associations “Anteros LGBTI” and “Valide Alternative per l’Integrazione” will present “The Right To Provoke”, a 2016 documentary by Mátyás Kálmán and Róbert Bordás from TASZ / HCLU (Hungarian Civil Liberties Union). It follows the story of Andrea Giuliano, an Italian human rights activist, artist and photographer who became the victim of several hate crimes in Hungary due to his activism and a parody he staged against far-right political forces and bigotry. After the documentary, we will discuss together with Andrea Giuliano about Hungary and his experience as an LGBTI and human rights activist.
